Visitor numbers exceed expectations

deegee stand at Hannover 2007

We had a great opportunity to meet many of our deegee distributors in Hannover, Germany, at the Messe 2007 exhibition.

Whilst the organisers were reporting visitor increases of around 10%, deegee went better than that with visitor enquiries up 15% on our 2006 show.  With our largest ever new product launch, in this our 40th year of business, this was a memorable show.  Of most interest to the deegee visitor was the 3-colour Static Beacon (SBU/R/A/G) and the IPN and MIH Traffic Lights, which were mounted using the new Post Mount system from deegee.

Thank you to those of you who came to visit us “ it was great to meet with you and introduce the new deegee products “ we look forward to seeing you (again?) at one of our upcoming shows.

Largest ever product launch for D.G. Controls!

Group photo of new products introduced at Hannover Messe 2007

2007 represents our 40th year in business as a privately owned independent company and brings with it the largest ever product launch in the history of D.G. Controls Limited.  With introductions into virtually all corners of the range, these items add depth to our already comprehensive portfolio - certainly larger than any other UK beacon lamp manufacturer. The two main themes of this launch are low-energy signalling/status, consolidating our lead in LED signalling provision, and extending our range of Explosionproof products to include new high intensity xenon strobe beacons as well as a 118dB Explosionproof sounder. One of the hot-topics at present is the recent announcement by the EU to ban the use of incandescent lamps by 2009.  Whilst we believe that this is concerned only with domestic lighting, and that Health and Safety applications will be exempt, we do recognise the need to ever strive for more efficient lighting solutions.  To this end we have for many years invested heavily in LED technology and now offer a multitude of devices that provide a level of performance, as measured in Lumens per Watt, that exceeds that of equivalent incandescent-lamped products.  Needless to say, this is not limited to simple small indicators but extends across the whole deegee range to include Stacking Beacons, Aircraft Obstruction Warning, Direction and Status Panels as well as traditional Rotating Mirror beacons. To round off this current selection of new products we are also introducing a range of panel mounting DC sounder elements as well as post-mounting facility for our range of Status Indicators and Beacons.

Beacons get brighter

D. G. Controls has incorporated three products into one for its latest beacon upgrade

The IPN range of small LED panel boxes from D.G. Controls has been enhanced by the introduction of a STOP/GO variant. This has been designed specifically for traffic management in warehousing units, to advise when it is safe for pedestrians to cross, but is now also being used in automated industrial plants, and car-parks.

IPN STOP/GO is fitted with high brightness LEDs, with an operating life typically in excess of 100,000 hours.

It is bright enough to be read in bright sunlight, and measuring just 200mm x 150mm x 80mm deep, the IPN STOP/GO panel box is ideal for applications where the text needs to be readable from a distance, but where space is limited.

The housing is manufactured from UV-stabilised polycarbonate, and rated to IEC Protection Class IP65, ensuring it is fit for use inside and outside.

IPN STOP/GO is available in 24V DC and in 115V AC and 230V AC versions.

Mounting brackets are available which fix the panel box to a vertical wall, and a new mounting system has been developed for use with the IPN range, which enables fixing to a post.

New traffic lights fit in narrow spaces

3-way Traffic Light IPN/018/Red/Amber/Green has been developed by DG Controls following success of the 2-way Traffic Light

Following on from the success of the IPN 2-way Traffic Light (IPN/002/Red/ Green), a request for a 3-way Traffic Light in the range was fulfilled with the IPN/018/Red/Amber/Green. The size of the unit, being just 200mm x 150mm x 80mm deep makes it ideal for locations where space is at a premium, and where conventional traffic lights are too large.

IPN 3-way Traffic Light (IPN/018) was designed specifically for traffic management in automated industrial plants, but it is well-suited to all indoor and outdoor traffic management, being rated to IEC Protection Class IP65.

It is also suited to status-warning indication on large industrial plant, where the light can be seen from a long distance, ideal for areas where there are low numbers of personnel.

IPN 3-way Traffic Light (IPN/018) is available in 24V DC and in 115V AC and 230V AC versions.
