Now that the Series C range of beacons and sounders is formally launched, deegee has followed up in quick succession with the Series B!

Using the ABS Base of the Series C, the Series B is just that bit taller, using a brand new higher dome.  This allows for a different type of electronics inside, such as the best-selling 360 degree viewing LED range from deegee,  which includes a 10cd aircraft warning beacon compliant with the ICAO Low Intensity Warning Beacon standard.

The model range also includes the following beacon technologies:

• 2.5 Joule Xenon Strobe
• 5 Joule Xenon Strobe
• Pulsed (flashing) LED
• Static (non-flashing) LED
• Revolving (simulated rotating) LED
• Pulsed (flashing) Filament Lamp
• Static (non-flashing) Filament Lamp

Compatible with the IAS-C Sounder,  the Series B range can be joined easily to other units, and with a choice of 32-tones available in the sounder unit, a huge number of signalling  requirements are met in this product.

Series B is rated IP65 and the full range of DC and AC voltages are available within the range, as is the full spectrum of deegee colours.

The new Series C beacon range from the deegee brand is perfectly styled for office and public area use.

At only 85cm tall, Series C comprises a robust ABS Base and a Polycarbonate lens.   The circuitry is fixed to the lens assembly, allowing easy fitting of bases and wiring during installation, and retro-fitting of the electronics and lenses.
 
Lens assemblies fit to the bases by bayonet fitting with an O-ring seal, and secure in place with a single securing grub screw.  With no other external fixings, and all connections between enclosure parts protected by O-rings, Series C is certified to IP65 ingress protection, making it suitable for indoor or outdoor use. 

The full range of deegee technologies fit the Series C enclosure, including LED, Xenon, Filament, and Indicator Signs such as Cross, Arrow and No Entry.  AC and DC voltages across the ranges are available on most models, as are the full complement of deegee colours of Red, Amber, Green, Blue and Clear.

With formal launch of the “Series C” Industrial Sounder, the IAS-C, with its sound output of up to 110 dB, focus as always with the deegee range is on how versatile our products are.

Developed with an eye on the flexibility of the Series C range, a core application is the combining of the Industrial Sounder with the Series C Beacons as well as the Sign-Indicators such as the Cross, Arrows and No Entry.  The combined audible and visual signal greatly enhances the effectiveness of the warning.  Given the user-choosable 32 tones, with secondary tones, units can be tailored according to the specific hazard.

Joining the Series C units is easy, using the M10 moulded entries on the sides of the base.  Since the electronics are housed in the cap of the product, the bases can be installed at an earlier fitting phase, and the electronics installed as a second phase.  The cap is held in place with a single securing grub screw, rendering the unit  tamper-proof.

Any number of units can be joined together, and with an ingress protection rating of IP65 the Series C suits both indoor and outdoor applications.  

Most DC and AC voltages are covered within the range, and the full spectrum of deegee colours is available for the visual beacons and sign indicators.

Development is now complete on the deegee brand “Series C” Industrial Sounder, known as IAS-C.  Using the same white ABS housing as the Series C Beacons, the Sounder can be used as a stand-alone unit, or joined with one of the many visual beacons in the Series C range.

With a sound output of up to 110 dB and an initial complement of 32-selectable primary with secondary tones , the IAS-C packs a lot of punch for its size. 

Compatible with all of the Series C beacons, including the Indicator Signs, the IAS-C can be joined to the other units using the M10 moulded entries.  A further moulded M20 entry to the underside of the base makes it perfect for mounting direct to 51 centres of a conduit box.

Conforming to IP65 ingress protection, the sounder is effective for both indoor and outdoor applications.  Its low profile (85cm) makes it an attractive and discreet unit for office and public area use.

With models to cover DC and AC inputs, the IAS-C is well-equipped to suit any application.  Specifically the units cover the voltage range

• 10 – 30 Vdc
• 24 Vac
• 48 – 78 Vac
• 95 – 250 Vuc

Attending the Brussels Expo venue for the second time in 2009, Inelmatec, distributor of the deegee brand in Belgium, is showing the deegee beacon and sounder range at Mocon Hydromech 2009.  Inelmatec will be exhibiting in Hall 7 Stand 7089.

Specialising in motion control, production automation, assembly techniques and control and operating systems, Mocon Hydromech runs on 14th and 15th October 2009, at the Brussels Expo in Belgium.

At their third exhibition of the year, Finnish distributors Elektro-Tukku will be demonstrating the deegee beacon and sounder range at the Helsinki Exhibition & Convention Centre from 23rd to 25th September 2009.   For the first time there will be five simultaneous technical trade fairs under the one roof, incorporating Hydrauliikka & Pneumatiikka 09 (Hydraulics & Pneumatics),  Automaatio 09 (Automation), Elkom 09 (Professional electronics), MecaTec 09 (the Mechanical engineering and machine components fair) and Eltek 09 (a new trade fair for industrial electricity).

It is being billed as one of the most important shows for the Finnish technology sector in 2009. 

Elektro-Tukku will be located in Hall 6, at stand K1.

A show focusing on Sub-Contracting, Alihankintamessut is considered one of the best networking forums for the sub-contract industry in Europe.

User choice has always been a priority here at deegee and our range of warning beacons and electronic sounders has evolved to reflect that goal.  You will find that we have signalling products to work with most voltage supply requirements as well as many different product sizes and styles to suit your application perfectly.  Our range currently stands at over 4000 SKUs with probably at least that number again as “standard special” items.

Like the sweets in a sweetie shop, the deegee brand of beacons is available in a rainbow of colours to suit virtually all visual signalling applications.  Even our LED beacons are available, from stock, in the standard range of Red, Amber, Green, Blue and Clear.  In addition to the standard colour range, Series D beacons and Series SA Stacking Beacons can be supplied in Purple for specialist applications.  (To be honest though, we have yet to launch the “Princess Pink” range – Watch this space ?!?)

Following a successful show at Energetab in 2008, Eltron, the Polish distributor of the deegee beacon and sounder range, will be demonstrating a range of new deegee products at the 2009 Energetab, from 15th to 17th September. 

Energetab is held at the ZIAD Bielsko-Biala, in Bielsko-Biala, Poland.  An annual show, Energetab is the largest Energy and Power Generation trade fair, hosting suppliers of equipment and technology for  all aspects of electrical power generation.  More information is available at www.energetab.pl

After another successful week exhibiting at Firex at the NEC in Birmingham, UK, deegee has made contact with all the customers and prospects who visited us, and we thank you once again for your commitment to the deegee beacon and sounder range, and to our service offering to you.

We had a higher than usual number of non-UK visitors, testament to the organiser’s efforts in promoting this as an international show.  This was great as we are always seeking new countries with which to “do business”, but it was also good to meet with existing and potential UK customers.

Using our new exhibition kit, we were able to demonstrate a wide range of products again, as we did at the Hannover Messe in April.  Whilst Firex and the associated show IFSEC mainly focus on fire and security, the deegee portfolio is applied in a vast range of sectors, and it is rather surprising just how many other areas are represented by the visitors to a show like Firex.  Engineers and installation specialists tend to cover more than just one aspect of site security nowadays, and this means the potential for picking up valuable contacts across the product range is high.

The follow up letters have all been sent, quotes have been made, and new distributors contacted, so it just remains to say thank you to all of you who visited us at Hannover Messe 2009.  We had a great show, with some really meaningful discussions, and hope it heralds the start of some very interesting business opportunities. 

The new exhibition stand design was very well-received, and we were delighted with our new stand location.  It was the widest range of products that we had been able to demonstrate at one time, and it certainly achieved the responses we had hoped for.

We’re already busy planning our development strategy ready for Hannover Messe 2010, and look forward to seeing you again next April, if not before.
