The newest addition to the deegee range of low energy beacons is the long life SB_/CFT

Fitting the E, G, H, J, K and T deegee housings, the SB_/CFT is a great solution for applications where low power consumption is essential, but without compromise on brightness. Using a fluorescent lamp, which has a life of around 10,000 operating hours, the reduced maintenance schedule makes the SB_/CFT ideal for more remote locations.

The 11W lamp draws over 5 x less current at 230V AC, than the equivalent brightness filament lamp, for the same light output.

* All the deegee enclosures are rated to IEC Protection Class IP65, apart from the SBG/CFT which is rated to IP68.

The SBT/CFT is supplied with all cable glands, whilst the other units have drill-outs for cable entry and mounting.

Housings are made from UV-stabilised engineering plastics (ABS for SBE/CFT, SBH/CFT, SBK/CFT base and polycarbonate for all lenses and SBG/CFT and SBT/CFT bases).

The SBJ/CFT base is cast aluminium, excellent for robust heavy-duty applications.

*46mA 11W Fluorescent Lamp compared with 242mA 60W Filament Lamp at 230V AC.

Sales of deegee brand LED Plug-In Modules have been given a boost thanks to a new contract awarded to Inelmatec N.V./ S.A., the sole distributor for the deegee brand in Belgium.

Moulded with a B15d lamp cap fitting, the LED Plug-In Modules are being used across industrial sites to upgrade tower beacons. Replacing filament lamps, the Led Plug-Ins are being selected by engineers due to the long life-time.

Only 25mm in diameter, the LED Plug-In bayonet cap can be fitted to new and existing models of Stacker Beacons, Towers and Single Beacons.

High brightness Clear, Red, Amber, or Green coloured LEDs are fitted, and all versions are protected by a clear polycarbonate lens. 230V AC, 115V AC, and 24V UC (AC or DC) are available in all listed colours, and a 12V UC variant to special order.

With an estimated running life in excess of possibly 100,000 hours, maintenance can be severely cut. Cost-savings are also achieved due to the lower current draw compared with a filament lamp*.

Further detail on this and the entire deegee range can be found at www.deegee.com. Details of the Inelmatec N.V/ S.A. range can be viewed at www.inelmatec.be

* 24V unit draws 83% less current when fitted with the LED Plug-In versus a standard 5W filament lamp.

DG Controls is launching the new RF*/RMLED/, a traditional rotating mirror beacon with solid state LED light source, offering 360degree all-round visibility

DG Controls (deegee) are pleased to announce the production launch of the new RF*/RMLED/, a traditional rotating mirror beacon with solid state LED light source, offering 360degree all-round visibility. With an extremely high light output, for example on the Red RMLED of 278Cd, and a very pure colour obtained from using the same colour LED as beacon lens, this is truly a revolutionary product.

The product has been designed to use extremely low power, typically 5W power use at 24V.

This makes it suitable for fire and security systems, and for systems which feature battery back-up in case of failure of the primary power source.

The Ultra-low current draw means more units can be powered from a single source. The lower power usage also means less energy is being wasted as heat.

The long life of the LED (100,000 hours typically) means low maintenance and, fitting into deegee’s E, G, H, J, K and T housings, a solution is available to suit all types of finish and application.

All deegee’s housings are certified to Environmental Standard IP 65 to afford shower-proof protection, or for more exposed environments, take the G series with its IP68 Certification.

The RMLED can be combined with Piezo Sounder – pulsed, chime or monotone – in E deegee housing.

Red, Amber, Green, Blue, Clear colour options are available, all made from UV-stabilised polycarbonate.

Brackets and Protective Guards are available for most models.
