Preparations for this year’s show in Hannover are progrssing very well, including the stand being built by the on-site team.  All the kit is on site and the team are on schedule for a Sunday hand-over.

However, due to the ongoing and ever changing situation with flights in and out of the UK caused by the volcanic activity in Iceland, we have implemented our travel contingency plans for the team due to man the stand next week.  The team will be on-site as expected on Monday morning ready to meet all of you who are able to brave this unprecidented situation.

It’s that time of year again when all is in full swing getting ready for the Hannover Messe 2010.  Having had a great response to our 2009 location, you can once again find deegee in Hall 8 Stand B02.

Running from 19^th – 23^rd April 2010, Hannover Messe has always been a platform for meeting with the deegee distribution partners, both long-standing and new, and for discussing the beacon and sounder range with potential end-users from around the world.  2010 will prove to be no different; meetings have been scheduled with some of our newest clients, one of whom is working on a significant volume project with us on a new signalling concept.

This year the stand will be hosted by deegee’s Managing Director, Jon Whiten, who will be ably assisted by Office Manager Lisa Baum, and Sales Administrator Stacey Porter.  Operations Director, Wendy Whiten, will remain in the UK with the Whiten’s two sons, the younger at just 4 months old.

The new exhibition stand design was very well-received, and we were delighted with our new stand location.  It was the widest range of products that we had been able to demonstrate at one time, and it certainly achieved the responses we had hoped for.

We’re already busy planning our development strategy ready for Hannover Messe 2010, and look forward to seeing you again next April, if not before.

Taking place 20th – 24th April 2009, for the deegee team HANNOVER MESSE is a meeting place for our world-wide distributors to come and catch-up with us and see our new deegee beacon and sounder products;  we also use it to gain leads for potential new direct customers and distributors for world-wide markets.

In 2009 these annual events will be augmented by Motion, Drive & Automation, Surface Technology and ComVac, which are staged at two-yearly intervals.  HANNOVER MESSE is the world’s largest industrial technology show.

deegee is once again exhibiting at Hannover Messe 21 – 25th April 2008.  deegee has exhibited at this show for over 10 years, and has always used it as a forum to launch new beacons and sounders to the market.  Naturally 2008 proves no exception.

A totally new style of beacon has been added to the deegee range, to be known as the C Series, measuring 94mm diameter and 85mm high.  With over 130 product derivations, the beautifully styled small enclosure houses LED, Xenon and Filament technology, ensuring a product to fit every brightness, application and price.  A significant feature is the ability to link multiple units together to form multi-status indicators / traffic light assemblies.

With a pre-launch response from some key deegee customers of “extremely interested”, C Series looks to be a hugely successful addition to the deegee range.

Using sets of LEDs which allow Red, Amber or Green signals from the same unit, the beacon is perfect where space is at a premium.  Ideally suited to the R and the U housing from the deegee range,  the low profile of the unit and directional focus of the light is well-suited to traffic management, automatic car-washes, roller shutter doors, car-park barrier systems, and more. The U housing is the now familiar and extremely popular traffic light product from deegee.  Made from heavy duty UV-stabilised black polycarbonate, and fitted with a hood,  the SBU/UNI-LED/Red/Amber/Green features a Fresnel lens which focuses the light, giving long-range visibility.  Rated to IEC Protection Class IP65, SBU/UNI-LED/Red/Amber/Green is supplied with all the relevant fixings, allowing use singly or in groups of 2 or more beacons and sounders.  SBU/UNI-LED/Red/Amber/Green is available in DC 24V and AC 115 - 230V.

The 3-Colour LED Beacon is also available in the R Housing as a DC 24V unit.  Designated SBR/UNI-LED/Red/Amber/Green, the R Housing is only 92mm tall, the low profile being extremely popular where space is limited.  Combining the 3 colours into one unit perfectly fits the brief for minimal foot-print.

We had a great opportunity to meet many of our deegee distributors in Hannover, Germany, at the Messe 2007 exhibition.

Whilst the organisers were reporting visitor increases of around 10%, deegee went better than that with visitor enquiries up 15% on our 2006 show.  With our largest ever new product launch, in this our 40th year of business, this was a memorable show.  Of most interest to the deegee visitor was the 3-colour Static Beacon (SBU/R/A/G) and the IPN and MIH Traffic Lights, which were mounted using the new Post Mount system from deegee.

2007 represents our 40th year in business as a privately owned independent company and brings with it the largest ever product launch in the history of D.G. Controls Limited.  With introductions into virtually all corners of the range, these items add depth to our already comprehensive portfolio – certainly larger than any other UK beacon lamp manufacturer. The two main themes of this launch are low-energy signalling/status, consolidating our lead in LED signalling provision, and extending our range of Explosionproof products to include new high intensity xenon strobe beacons as well as a 118dB Explosionproof sounder.One of the hot-topics at present is the recent announcement by the EU to ban the use of incandescent lamps by 2009.  Whilst we believe that this is concerned only with domestic lighting, and that Health and Safety applications will be exempt, we do recognise the need to ever strive for more efficient lighting solutions.  To this end we have for many years invested heavily in LED technology and now offer a multitude of devices that provide a level of performance, as measured in Lumens per Watt, that exceeds that of equivalent incandescent-lamped products.  Needless to say, this is not limited to simple small indicators but extends across the whole deegee range to include Stacking Beacons, Aircraft Obstruction Warning, Direction and Status Panels as well as traditional Rotating Mirror beacons.To round off this current selection of new products we are also introducing a range of panel mounting DC sounder elements as well as post-mounting facility for our range of Status Indicators and Beacons.
